It was Monday morning, and there was a hustle and bustle in the Williams' house. While the Williams' kids rushed around getting ready for school, Louie the turtle swam happily around in his tank. 8-year-old Charisse soon arrived to feed him his breakfast of floating fish pellets. Lily, the bulldog, wagged her tail, following Charisse into the bathroom. Lily knew that it would be time for her morning walk and talk as soon as Charisse finished brushing her teeth. That's when they stopped to talk to their neighbors.

At one time, in a small town in Haiti, there was a girl named Waslene who had to live with her heartless and selfish stepmother. THE STORY OF PETER PAN ONCE upon a time there were three children named Wendy, John, and Michael, who lived with their father and mother in London. One evening the father and mother were invited to a party, and the mother, after lighting the dim lamp in the nursery and kissing them good-night, went away. That evening a little boy climbed in through the window, whose name was Peter Pan. He was a curious little fellow, very conceited, very forgetful, and yet very lovable. RAGGEDY ANN AND THE KITE Raggedy Ann watched with interest the preparations. A number of sticks were being fastened together with strings and covered with light cloth. Raggedy Ann heard some of the boys talk of "The Kite," so Raggedy Ann knew this must be a kite. When a tail had been fastened to the kite and a large ball of heavy twine tied to the front, one of the boys held the kite up in the air and another boy walked off, unwinding the ball of twine.
